Construction of Ukraine’s first Japanese modular bridge across the Gnizna River in the village of Chernikhovtsi, Ternopil region.

In June 2025, the bridge over the Gnizna River in the village of Chernihivtsi, Ternopil region, was destroyed due to a traffic accident involving an oversized truck with excess weight.
After signing the contract to begin construction, Techno-Bud-Center LLC quickly began work to restore traffic.

Over the course of 82 days, our team completed a full range of construction work, including:

• The old bridge was completely dismantled.
• The Gnizna River bed was cleaned.
• New bored piles, grillage, and supports were installed to provide increased load-bearing capacity.
• The approaches to the bridge were repaired.
• Japanese modular structures were installed, namely beams, trusses, and decking for the superstructure.
• New railings and barriers were installed.
• The embankment was reinforced with gabion mattresses and rubble stone.

Thanks to the use of prefabricated modules and constant communication with Japanese colleagues, it was possible to significantly reduce construction time while ensuring high quality and reliability of the structure.

Based on the results of testing conducted by the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development,” it was determined that the new bridge complies with DBN V.1.2-15:2009 and can withstand a load of NK100.

All work was performed in accordance with applicable building codes and standards for safety and durability.

During the grand opening, the head of the regional state administration, Vyacheslav Andronovich Negoda, personally commended site foreman Yuriy Oleksandrovych Mykytyuk for his conscientious work, professionalism, and the well-coordinated efforts of his team, which significantly reduced the time required to restore the artificial structure.
