Techno-Bud-Centre has begun work on the modernisation of the Porubne-Siret international road border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border in Chernivtsi Oblast. Phase I.

Construction of Ukraine’s first Japanese modular bridge across the Gnizna River in the village of Chernikhovtsi, Ternopil region.

The Porubne-Siret international road border crossing is an important artery connecting Bukovina with Romania. It is critically important not only for the export of agricultural products and goods, but also for the import of humanitarian aid and military equipment, as the route to the main ports in southern Europe passes through the Porubne-Siret international road border crossing point. The existing capacity of the border crossing point is approximately 300 vehicles per day.

The reconstruction and modernisation process involves the expansion of the Porubne cargo terminal and the construction of additional lanes for trucks entering Ukraine.

Main parameters of the facility and scope of work:
● Installation of storm drains — 428 running metres;
● Construction of trenches for communication and power cables — 770 running metres;
● Installation of cement concrete coverings — 1,015.6 m²;
● Installation of temporary construction coverings — 2,622 m².
The estimated throughput capacity of the checkpoint will be 600 vehicles per day.

In addition, there are plans to install a weighing system and modern customs equipment, which will facilitate faster border crossings and the prompt processing of the necessary documentation.
