Cold recycling
Cold recycling technology was developed by specialists in Europe and the US in the second half of the last century. The essence of the technology lies in the use of existing defective layers of road pavement to create new strong and homogeneous base layers. By milling the road surface to the calculated depth, an organic-mineral mixture is obtained, consisting of milled asphalt concrete and crushed base materials. Binding components (bitumen emulsion and cement) are simultaneously added to the mixture and distributed in an even layer. The final compaction is carried out with road rollers, resulting in a strong structural layer of road pavement with improved physical and mechanical characteristics. A new asphalt concrete pavement is laid on this base. High-tech equipment—a recycler—plays a key role in this process. Techno-Bud-Center LLC uses a recycler from the leading European manufacturer Wirtgen WR 240. The recycler's fine-tuning systems allow for high-quality mixing of components in the specified ratio, which is the key to a high-quality regeneration process. The use of this technology has the following advantages: No environmental pollution due to the complete reuse of old road pavement; - High quality of the layer thanks to consistent and effective mixing of materials obtained on site with water and a stabilizer; - Structural integrity of the road pavement. Cold recycling allows for thicker layers with greater material homogeneity. - Preservation of soil integrity. Less damage to low-quality soils, as recycling is carried out in a single pass by a recycler on pneumatic tires, which exert little pressure on the soil and cause almost no deformation. - Reduction in the duration of road works. The Wirtgen WR 240 machine has a high production capacity, which significantly reduces the time required for road works compared to traditional methods of road layer restoration. - The above advantages make cold recycling technology the most economically viable option for road surface restoration.
Maintanance roadworks using the jet injection method
This road surface repair technology, using modern materials, is the most economical and productive of all other pothole repair technologies. Jet injection repair technology is used for both asphalt concrete and cement concrete pavements, including for the elimination of potholes, minor subsidence, breaks, and cracks. Techno-Bud-Center LLC uses Madpatcher MP 6.5 WD machines for patching repairs using the jet injection method. These machines can work on any asphalt concrete pavement, both on city roads and highways. The materials used are cationic bitumen emulsion, which complies with all European and Ukrainian standards, modified with polymers if necessary, and crushed stone material - cube-shaped granite crushed stone. When performing roadworks using jet injection technology, the following operations are carried out: • cleaning the damaged area with compressed air; • applying bitumen emulsion to the surface of the damaged area for better adhesion; • filling the damaged area with an emulsion-mineral mixture; • applying dry stone material to the emulsion-mineral mixture. Advantages of this technology: • Fast and high-quality repair of damaged areas of the pavement without the need for additional preparatory work (such as milling, preparation of asphalt concrete mixture, etc.); • Significant reduction in labor costs for pothole repair; • the ability to resume vehicle traffic immediately after repairs with a speed limit of 40 km/h; • the ability to carry out work at air temperatures above +5°C, which allows repairs to begin immediately after the end of the winter period; • high-quality cleaning of potholes and filling them with compressed air; • No need for compaction, as the repair surface is finally formed under the movement of vehicles; • Environmental friendliness, due to the use of bitumen emulsion and the possibility of working with cold and wet mineral materials; • Low cost of repair work.
Technology for treating road surfaces using the method of simultaneous distribution of bitumen emulsions and cubical crushed stone.
Maintanance roadworks using the jet injection method During operation, road surfaces wear out and deteriorate. The most common method of protecting road surfaces is surface treatment. Surface treatment can be used to renew the surface, halt deterioration, and extend the service life of the road structure. Surface treatments are used: - as a preventive layer that protects the main structural layers of road surfaces from atmospheric factors; - as a layer that gradually wears out and protects the road structure. Periodic renewal of this layer is necessary to ensure the original qualities of the road surface. - as the top layer of the road surface to ensure adequate roughness in order to improve traction, water drainage, and prevent ice formation. Techno-Bud-Center LLC performs surface treatment of road surfaces using the method of simultaneous distribution of bitumen emulsions and cube-shaped crushed stone by road combines from the leading European manufacturer Madrog. The process is fully automated, with a computer monitoring the dosage of components, allowing for accurate and even distribution of the optimal amount of bitumen emulsion and stone material. The main advantage of using this type of machine is the simultaneous distribution of binding and crushed stone materials, which allows for the optimal selection of the rate of decomposition of the bitumen emulsion. The materials used are cationic bitumen emulsion, which complies with all European and Ukrainian standards, modified with polymers if necessary, and crushed stone material - cube-shaped granite crushed stone. High technological efficiency and quality of work, improved waterproofing of the upper layers of the road surface, which ultimately prevents premature destruction of the pavement and increases its service life.
